Trials & Fires is a Christian blog that is here to give you reassurance during your time of need. We are here to pray during tough times, give scripture, real examples, devotionals and bible studies to understand what is happening during this time. In fact, all these tools are available to give a better understanding and encouragement that you are not alone during this time of testing. Because of the struggles, these posts are inspiration within the Word of God with thought provoking answers. As a result, there is no fluff and will not be taken out of context.
It all boils down to this: we will not assume, philosophize, or put our own twist and meaning behind it. We are taking it as the Word says. For God said in Deuteronomy 4:2…” You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” How do we do this? Due to my issues of life and through trial and error, I have been able to pick myself back up, with the Lord’s help. Due to this, I believe the Holy Spirit has guided and encouraged me to create this blog for people like me. Such as those that struggle to understand what is happening when many people in our lives fall away or are unable to help as well as during the times of great sorrow and surprising or devastating losses.
As a result of my struggles, I have battled depression, watched family walk away while making false accusations and just leave me in the dust with nowhere to turn. Therefore, all I had was my bible and prayer. Although I have believed in God all my life, it wasn’t until my husband called it quits on me after 13 years that I began to focus my attention on Jesus. Consequently, in my deepest pit of despair, after losing everything, I was left alone, but Jesus was there to comfort me and give me hope.
In fact, He gave me an assignment: to help you in your struggles. To share what I have learned and overcome. To be a beacon of light with some salty flavor in the hopes that you too can really see how God wants the best for us and is molding us (ouch! That’s painful). Through all of this, we learn to become His stewards and warriors in this battle on earth.
